GrandmaSays is an app used by families to communicate with each other about their loved one in an assisted living facility, nursing home, or residence. It provides a platform for families to engage, share, question and coordinate information about their loved one.

Overview:

The mission of GrandmaSays is to archive memories, keep families connected, and communicate and relay important information to family members about their loved ones.

There are two parts to this app. First, is administrative. This part allows the family to share information about the love one’s health, doctor and nurse information, and coordinate visits. The second aspect of GrandmaSays, is interactive. This is for each family member to develop a stronger bond to the loved one. It includes open ended questions and photos.

All actions are synced across family members. This helps with communication so the responsible party doesn’t have to spend time emailing everyone and calling everyone every time they get an update on the loved one.

The app knows when the loved one is getting a visit and alerts other family members. When the loved one doesn’t get a visit for a week, GrandmaSays will also alert family members.

Join other families. You can be invited into other families. Your spouse could invite you into their family as support. Just receive the invitation email , log in with your email and same password and the family code received in the invitation email.

Diary: This is the interactive part with the loved one.
-Questions: There are open ended questions to ask your loved one such as, Tell me about your first date. These answers can be recorded and stored in the app. Families also have the opportunity to share their loved one’s great, sometimes hilarious responses on Facebook, Twitter, or by email.
